July, August & September's TreatBox Revealed.
Posted on September 12 2019
I won't lie, I lost my momentum for blogging over the summer holidays. It started all very organised, and by the end, it was basically "get the essential things completed", and everything else can wait! Which means I am very behind with revealing the monthly TreatBoxes; what I thought I'd do is roll all three posts into one! So in this blog post, I will tell you exactly what was in our July, August and September boxes!
This box was bursting with positive pastels. Each month we do try and team up with other small businesses and this month we featured The Happy Newspaper and Tea-Pop. So let me tell you a little about them first.
The Happy Newspaper's motto is about celebrating the incredible things that are happening from every single corner of the planet, which isn't being talked about the daily news. The Happy Newspaper thinks these acts of kindness deserve to be recognised. They aim to bring a refreshing twist on what we typically know as 'news', reporting on positive changes and truly inspiring people. We featured their issue 14 paper, and the theme was 'Help.'
Tea-Pop believes there is a better way to enjoy quality tea. A more natural, fun and fuss-free experience where the consumer can enjoy their favourite brew when and wherever their heart desires. They're obsessively passionate about tea, and mission is to introduce new tea experiences for the modern consumer.
Tea-Pop is the result of a long collaboration with Chester University to develop the ultimate tea in a relaxed, fun and fuss-free experience.
Once we know the small businesses, we like to fit the other products around those. The colours of both were bursting with pastels, and July is of course summer so why not go full design? We featured Sass and Belle's "Be-YOU-tiful " pouch; this is a perfect size. The RRP is £7.50, and it's excellent quality, and I loved the little details like the tassel zip and the fun pattern.
Each month I like to design a product for the boxes. This month it was the cute, handy-sized pocket mirror, and A5 print... "Don't let your ice cream melt, while you are counting someone else's sprinkles." A little reminder you are perfect the way you are and never compare yourself to anyone else. The last product is the pastel push pins from NPW gifts a little handy gift to help jazz up that notice board
I LOVED August's TreatBox! I am not sure why compared to our other boxes, I think I loved how each item fitted together so well. This box was originally going to be, themed around camping, and the great outdoors. But as time went on, I was worried I know not everyone likes to camp and may not be going away, so the theme was diluted along the way. The small business featured in this months box was Ananda Foods when they contacted me, and I saw their amazing Marshmallows, I couldn't resist! These were also a little nod back to the camping theme, roasted marshmallows ;)
Anada foods were established in 2008 after they searched high and low for gelatine free marshmallows for their children. After discovering only one other American company did this, they decided to start making their own. Ananda's marshmallows are made by hand in small batches, using only the finest ingredients; natural flavours, vegetable colourants and real fruit powders. They are a small family run business in Derbyshire, and their marshmallows and other products are 100% Vegan! I designed three of the products in this box the "Let's getaway" Tote bag, List & Things note pad and the A5 Print with the most beautiful quote "The world is your oyster".
We had the cutest enamel bee keyring from Sass and Belle and two bow hair ties and some tissues all handy products to get away or stay at home, just perfect for August's edition!
Come the 1st of September. I think by this time of the year we ready for the change of seasons, and Autumn is one of my favourites! (Even if summer wasn't the best this year)
So this box was themed around taking time for you and getting cosy!
Made by Coopers and The Letterbox Bakery make the small businesses this time around. We featured Made by Coopers Euclyputas and Rosemary bath salts, let me tell you aa little bit about them...
From India To Sussex
Made by Coopers has been created by Clare and Darren Cooper, the brand began while they were travelling around India on a three-month yoga expedition. During their travels, Clare and Darren spent time at an Ayurvedic retreat in Kerala, learning all about the power of plants and natural healing, as well as lots of yoga, meditation, and early five a.m. chanting ceremonies!
It was at this retreat; they got to see first hand the plants and herbs transformed into oils used for treatments. To experience how the aromas from the oils made them feel during their massages and positively affect their wellbeing.
I have been following them over on Instagram for a while eyeing up their yummy cakes, and I managed to collaborate with them on our Advent Calendar in 2017. So it was long overdue, and time we had their delicious treats in one of our monthly boxes!
It wasn't an easy decision; I know I wanted to stay simple, as I wasn't just picking for me but for thousands of others too.
I decided on their double chocolate flapjack drizzled with white chocolate how divine does that sound!
So while eating your yummy treats and running a bath, what else did this box bring? A 3-step mask from OhK! With a bamboo sheet mask, cleansing wash and moisturising serum, this is the gift to keep on giving. So once you are all pampered, and your tummy is happy.
We added these beautiful Mixed Metal Heartstring lights, from Lisa Angel; they're stunning and will make any cosy corner warm and inviting.
Last but not least this month, I designed the two prints and the Dream Diary, perfect to pop on your bedside table and make a note of those mysterious dreams. On the back we added some random dream facts, did you know that you can have up to 4-7 dreams in one night? And, if you are snoring, then you cannot be dreaming! You learn something new every day!
We still have some boxes on sale at this time, I have linked them in if you would like to take a look. They are all one-off boxes so you do not need to sign up to a subscription to try these ones out!
If you got a box which one was your favourite let me know below :)
Have a lovely day
