5 Tips for being kind to yourself

…because it’s not all candles and bubble baths! Although we wouldn’t say no here at TreatBox!
- Find an exercise you actually enjoy – Then it won’t be a chore! If the gym’s not your thing, then don’t give up. There are all sorts of different classes you can try, from climbing to Clubbercise, you’re bound to find something to fit into your routine.
- Give yourself a break – Everyone makes mistakes, but the important thing is you learn from them. Look at what you could have done differently and take positive steps to avoid it happening in the future. You can’t change the past, but you are in control of the future.
Say ‘No’ if you need to – Don’t really want to go? Already quite busy and that was your only night off? You can do it! You’re in charge of your time and saying no when you want to will be better for your wellbeing in the long run. Fill your free time with only the things that make you feel good.

Listen to yourself – In a world where we are constantly told to eat healthily/sleep more/exercise more, it can feel like a lot of pressure! Start listening to yourself and only make the changes you want to. Is there a friend that always makes you feel rubbish? It might be time to part ways. Or maybe you don’t feel so awake and motivated when you eat a particular food? Reduce or cut it out and take notice of the difference!
