Journal - Taking Time Out at Christmas
Posted on December 15 2018
I hope you're well and you're getting in the festive groove! We've got our elf hats on and the we're dancing along to Christmas music!
I have been thinking about what would be a pertinent theme for December's Journal entry and I would like to share with you something that I personally find quite tricky and I believe that many self-employed business owners too come up against the same quandary!
I am really looking forward to the Christmas break but I know that my mind will take a while to get out of work-mode. When you run your own business, it can be constant but I am determined to take a full break from emails, designing, research (and all of the other things I do on a daily basis). From experience, I know that i'll feel much more revived and ready for action in 2019 if I switch-off completely for Christmas.
So, I guess that this post is a gentle nudge to you all (business owners or not), that it's really important to take time off and to let yourself be in the moment; especially when you've worked so hard all year.
We will be closing on Thursday 20th this will be the last Royal Mail collection, so any orders placed after this date will shipped in the new year when we re open 5th January 2019.
I will be taking a leaf out of my own book and taking a well-earned break to spend with my family and friends.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous, happy and healthy New Year.
Love Zoe xxx
